Dragoons Streak Ends

The Modeo Dragoons, favourites for this year’s Tritoch Cup, have suffered a humiliating defeat at the International Ice Hockey League playoffs in Talus against the Talus Jets, the final score being 5 – 1 to the Jets. The Dragoons, who have remained undefeated in their last sixteen professional matches were sent away from the second round playoff with their tails between their legs.

The Dragoons’ coach, Caleb Esco, refused to comment following the match, supporting the rumours that emerged earlier in the year about his possible resignation, handing the position down to former team captain Ricky Denessey, who retired from the sport following an injury at the first Tritoch Cup five years ago. On Esco’s refusal to speak, current team captain Bax Gisalli dodged the question, citing Esco’s numerous achievements within the league and “bringing the Dragoons from the bottom right to the top”.
