The changes come as no surprise, and many freight companies have accepted the revised routes. Miranda’s harbour staff have commented that they will “do their best to make sure the Republic is kept running at maximum”, despite fears from several commentators that the port town will not be able to handle the increased traffic. The GDOT has reassured critics that the altered trade routes have been designed and implemented to make sure that “all ports are capable of managing their workloads, with alternations made where needed”, with GDOT’s spokesman, Wagner Bishop, stating that he expects “no failures from the carefully calculated system.”

In related news, the Port of Gongaga’s land value has dropped significantly. Despite a statement from the local government that restoration will begin as soon as possible, it is rumoured that many of the privately-owned areas of the port will soon be on the market, with no expectations that they will even sell.

How the increase will affect the Republic’s possible fuel crisis is unknown. Commentators have noted the move to be “risky, yet trying to make the best of an uncertain future”. Pablo Spohkes, former NMA director for the Ispath region, commented that the “decision’s outcome will be in the hands of the of the Oseron rigs”. Oseron, the Jotunn Federation’s oil drilling corporation, has seen a difficult time this year, yet plans to construct a new rig in the Gulf of Keri have been well-received, and local governments are keen to support the corporation’s new venture.

SL-011 – PRODUCTION LINE OPERATIVE – 39HOURS/WEEK (FULL TIME)

Operatives are require for full time work on manual equipment assembly lines. Ideal candidates will have experience in a factory environment and be able to work shifts over the course of five days per week. Training can be given to those inexperienced. There are numerous vacancies in this position.

SL-024 – FLOOR SUPERVISOR – 45 HOURS/WEEK (FULL TIME)

Experienced factor supervisor required for overseeing production on a manual assembly line. Candidates must be experienced, and references will be required.  Supervisors will be responsible for managing up to twenty members of staff at any one time. Benefits include four weeks paid holiday and pension scheme.

SL-001 – INDUSTRIAL FLOOR MAINTENANCE SANITATION ENGINEER – 18HOURS/WEEK (PART-TIME)

Candidates will be required to keep a constant standard of cleanliness throughout designated areas of the factory, including work areas and staff facilities. No experience required as training will be given.
